Kids love trucks. And the Coaldale
C.H.O.S.E. organization is giving them the opportunity to check out some equipment up close at their annual Touch-A-Truck event Saturday.The event will run from 1-4 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex, located on Sixth Street between Phillips and High streets in the borough. There is no rain date.Kids and their parents will have the opportunity to explore vehicles from local concrete, excavating, recycling and towing companies, as well as an ice cream truck and two race cars. St. Luke's University Health Network will also have activities for kids."Kids will get to climb inside the truck; they'll show them how they operate. Kids see these machines out there day to day but they never really get up close and personal with them," Angela Krapf of
C.H.O.S.E. said.As with all
C.H.O.S.E. events, children 12 and under will receive food and a drink.
C.H.O.S.E., short for the Church Home Organization School Environment, sponsors several events throughout the year in the borough aimed at providing low-cost entertainment for families in the greater Panther Valley area. For more information, look up Coaldale
