A St. Joseph Regional Academy student was recently named a "Phanatic About Reading."
Third-grader Kyle George, who was nominated by his teacher Melissa Gilbert, will be honored with his teacher on the field before the May 21 Philadelphia Phillies game versus the Atlanta Braves after he won the contest's award for most improved reader.The contest is statewide and has nearly 50,000 Phanatic readers.This program is brought to students in kindergarten through eighth grades to read for a minimum of 15 minutes to improve their literacy skills.Amanda Salovay, principal of St Joseph, said she is excited for Kyle to be honored alongside Gilbert.Salovay also plans to offer this program throughout the school in the upcoming school year.
