Police have reported the following retail thefts:
• Terri L. Kates, 37, of Tamaqua, was cited by Tamaqua police after an April 21 incident at the Family Dollar store, 125 Center St.Store personnel contacted police after Kates attempted to leave without paying for a bottle of body spray, which she had hidden in her purse.She was charged with retail theft. The merchandise was valued at $3.18.• State police charged Stroudsburg resident Colleen Donlon with theft after she allegedly attempted to steal $73 of merchandise.The incident occurred May 4 at Kinsley's ShopRite, in Chestnuthill Township.Police said that at 6:45 p.m., the store's loss prevention personnel stopped Donlon as she attempted to leave the store and notified police.
