McAdoo police cited Andrew Horvath Jr., 29, of Hazleton following a traffic stop on March 22.
A concerned motorist called police at 7:30 p.m. to report a small, black car being driven in an erratic manner on Kennedy Drive. An officer was on patrol in the area and remembered a black Infiniti had just passed his location at Kennedy Drive and Jackson Street. After speaking to the concerned motorist, the officer found the Infiniti to the rear of the 100 block of West Blaine Street.As the officer approached, the Infiniti backed up into a No Parking sign, then pulled forward and parked in a private lot.Horvath was identified as the driver. When told about the erratic driving report, he told the officer it was because he was "very tired." He admitted taking Suboxone and Klonopin, for which he has prescriptions.He was given, and failed, field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving under the influence.
