Indians' Bickert, Wreckers' Isom toss no-hitters

Lehighton's Autumn Bickert and Weatherly's Molly Isom both pitched three-inning no-hitters in softball action Saturday.

L - Moon.TRACKShippensburg InvitationalFour Times News area athletes achieved a pair of Top-5 finishes at the Shippensburg Jake Roddick High School Invitational.The four were Tamaqua's Morgan Boyle and Allison Pedersen, Marian's Tina Capparell, and Jim Thorpe's Rayan Green.Tamaqua, Marian and Weatherly competed in the Class AA field, while Jim Thorpe participated with the Class AAA schools.Boyle took second in the javelin and fourth in the pole vault, while Pedersen captured fifth in both the discus and shot put.Capparell finished second in the 2000 steeplechase and third in the 800.
