Fire destroyed a garage near Fairyland Road in Franklin Township Monday night.

The fire broke out at 181 Penn St. shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.

The fire, considered to be accidental, took about 20 minutes to knock down.

Fire companies from Franklin Township and Lehighton responded to the scene near the intersection of Church Street and Fairyland Road.

When police and firefighters arrived on scene flames were shooting from the wood frame structure.

Firemen were on scene for an hour.
