First Commonwealth Credit Union, who has offices in Lehighton and the Lehigh Valley, is warning people about fraudulent text messages.
According to a post on the company’s website, “Members and non-members are receiving fraudulent text messages appearing to come from First Commonwealth.”The credit union warns people, “Do not take action on these fake text messages and delete them immediately.”First Commonwealth account and personal information have not been compromised, according to the site.“If you clicked on the link and entered your personal or financial information, you should notify us immediately at 610-821-2403, so we can make a note on your account.”People are also advised to change their online banking username and password as soon as possible, if they entered personal and financial information.
