A Maryland driver was slightly injured in a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 81 in Foster Township, Schuylkill County, at 2:25 p.m. Sunday.
State police at Frackville said Alison K. Dart, 20, of Emmitsburg, was driving a 1998 Honda Civic southbound when she began to doze.The car went onto the left shoulder over rumble strips. Dart heard the noise from the strips and woke up. She oversteered hard right, causing the car to travel about 112 feet, crossing both southbound lanes and going onto the berm on the west side.The car continued along the berm and rolled over counterclockwise, coming to rest on its roof facing south.Dart was treated at the scene by Minersville ambulance personnel. The Civic sustained major damage and was towed from the scene. Troopers cited Dart for careless driving.
