The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a wind advisory in effect from 2 p.m. today to midnight.
Winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected with gusts up to 50 mph.
The strongest wind will occur this evening.
Strong winds could cause power outages due to downed power lines. Additionally, there could be tree limbs down. Use caution if you drive a high profile or lightweight vehicle, especially on north/south roadways.

Overnight: Rain likely. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 43. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Monday: Rain, mainly before 11am. Patchy fog before 8am. High near 59. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Breezy, with a northwest wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind 11 to 16 mph.
