About 1,000 Carbon County residents joined in the observance of the Feast of St. Joseph at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Nesquehoning.

The feast was celebrated with special services and the distribution of food from the traditional table, which contained hundreds of varieties of baked goods, fruits and vegetables.The table was prepared by the women of the church and included 250 pignolata, a pastry covered with honey. It was blessed in honor of St. Joseph after the 6 a.m. Mass celebrated by the Right Rev. Monsignor Agnello A.J. Angelini, pastor.
