Tamaqua dealership attains Ford's prestigious President's Award
Rottet Motors Inc. in Tamaqua has earned the 2015 President's Award from the Ford Motor Company.
The award was presented to the dealership in recognition of outstanding customer satisfaction through progressive management, dedicated employees and high standards of operational excellence.Mike Rottet, dealer principal, said this marks the 13th time overall that the dealership has earned the distinction."It's important because it proves that our customers love doing business with us and it is hard to win, as only a small percentage of dealerships win the award," Rottet said."It's been our continued focus on our customers' satisfaction in both sales and service over the years."Rottet attributed the dealership's success to several factors."We have outstanding customer service, and we're just very service-oriented," he said."We get a lot of word-of-mouth."Rottet, who has run the family-owned business along with his wife, Joan, since 1989, said the dealership focuses on its customers.He explained how the business has been able to stay viable and compete with the bigger dealerships."We all pay the same price for the cars; it's just how far you want to go to make a sale," said Rottet. "You get to deal with the dealer here."Rottet said the dealership is fortunate in that there are plenty of loyal customers who support it."We get a lot of repeat business," he said. "We have a lot of loyal customers; every two to three years, they're back."Rottet said a majority of their customers are from Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne counties."We have some of the most technologically advanced products that are out there," he said. "We have a loyal customer base, a loyal employee base and the longevity."In business since 1949, the dealership is in its third generation.The President's Award is an honor that heralds a dealership team's superior performance and outstanding accomplishments.The award is only presented to those top-performing Ford Dealerships that exhibit quality business practices and Ford's core principles.Dealerships nationwide competed for this honor, but only 10 percent of all dealerships achieved the 2015 President's Award.
