Rush Twp. plans leaf, branch pickup

Rush Township's road crew will embark on its leaf and branch pickup March 28 through April 29.

Township board of supervisors Chairman Shawn Gilbert announced on Thursday that the cleanup will be done in sections.Gilbert said March 28-April 1 will be south of Route 54 and west of Route 309; April 4-8 will be south of 54 and east of 309; April 11-15 will be north of 54 and west of 309 and includes the Hometown, Quakake and Barnesville areas; and April 18-22 will be north of 54 and east of 309.The township will send out weekly code red alerts to all residents as a reminder of the collection dates, Gilbert said.Anyone who is not signed up for the township's code red system is urged to sign up by going to
