Maryland police: Officer who was shot has died
CHEVERLY, Md. (AP) - The Latest on the shooting of a police officer and one other person in Maryland (all times local):

Authorities in Maryland say an officer who was shot near a suburban police station near the nation's capital has died at a hospital.
The Prince George's County Police Department said on Twitter that 28-year-old officer Jacai Colson died in an "unprovoked attack." The department said Colson was a four-year veteran. Initially police said Colson was 29 but a later tweet from police clarified that he was just days shy of his 29th birthday.
The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon near the police station in Landover, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Authorities say another person, who is not a police officer, also was wounded.
Police said two suspects were in custody.

Officials with the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives say those federal agencies are aiding local police in investigating the shooting near a Maryland police station.
Authorities said earlier that a Prince George's County police officer was wounded along with another person and that two suspects were in custody following the shooting.
Dave Fitz, spokesman for the FBI in Maryland, said the FBI "reached out and offered support" and sent a couple of special agents to assist. He says Prince George's County Police remain the lead investigative agency.
Dave Cheplak, a spokesman for the ATF in Maryland, was unable to say how many ATF agents were assisting. He also could not say specifically what they are doing, but said assistance typically would include following up on leads, interviewing witnesses, supporting evidence collection and tracing any recovered firearms.
Officials say the shooting occurred at a community center next to the Landover police station in Prince George's County, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Other details weren't immediately released, and the suspects weren't immediately identified.

Parked police cars are lining the road to Prince George's Hospital Center in Maryland, where authorities say a police officer critically wounded in a shooting was taken earlier.
Several officers crowded into the hospital's lobby by Sunday evening. The officers stood there quietly while waiting to learn details about the officer's condition from their chief after the shooting near a police station in Landover.
