Schuylkill County entrepreneur Joseph William Zaprazny has been upgraded to stable condition after an industrial accident last week at his mining operation, located just east of Palo Alto.

Zaprazny, best known for his Joe's Auto Parts operation along Route 895 in East Brunswick Township, was operating a large backhoe at the time.Reports are a hydraulic line broke, spewing hot hydraulic oil over the engine and possibly the victim.Zaprazny jumped from the machinery, landing approximately 28 feet down an embankment.He was flown from the scene to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center, suffering head and back injuries as well as burns. He was originally listed in critical condition.
