A hearing has been set for a Carbon County man who threatened to kill his ex-wife.
Troy Dubois, 44, of 895 Mauch Chunk Road Apt./Suite 5, Palmerton, last known address, is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing March 30 before District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton.Dubois faces charges of harassment and terroristic threats.According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by officer Brian White of the Palmerton Police Department:At 1:23 p.m. Feb. 6, White was dispatched to a call about a harassment issue.White called the victim, who said her ex-husband, Dubois, kept texting and calling her, threatening that he was going to hurt and kill her.The victim also said Dubois was sending messages that he saw her and was watching her, and was asking about a guy that she has coming to her residence.The victim asked White if he could tell Dubois to stop harassing her, so White called him on his cellphone and left him a detailed message to stop harassing her, or he will be arrested.About 15 minutes after White called Dubois, the victim called back and said that Dubois left her a voice message stating that she does not know what he is capable of, and neither do the police, and that they will be visiting the Blue Mountain Hospital.The victim said that he will not stop and wants Dubois arrested.White made contact with Dubois at his residence and advised him of the pending charges, and also told him to stop texting and calling the victim.
