PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A humane official says he's found six dead puppies in a trash can near a suspected dog-fighting site in Philadelphia.
George Bengal, the director of enforcement for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says he found the dead puppies and a live adult pit bull outside what he believes is a stash house for a dog-fighting crew.
Bengal tells KYW-TV (http://cbsloc.al/1QKrPJR ) that his team has served search warrants on the Germantown house before and arrested someone there three years ago. He's hoping the gruesome discovery can now help him get the house boarded up or torn down.
Another dead dog was found inside the home.
Nobody's been charged in connection with the dogs.
