Ten Band ready to rock
Pittsburgh's Ten Band has certainly done its homework. The band knows the Pearl Jam classics inside and out. Formed in 2003, the Ten Band is regarded as the longest touring PJ Tribute in the world.
The Ten Band performs at the Mauch Chunk Opera House at 8 p.m. Feb. 26."We are all products of the '90s," says bassist Todd Kaczorowski. "Brian (lead guitarist) and I spent most of the early '90s writing original music influenced by a lot of what was happening at that time. I can fondly recall my first time listening to Pearl Jam's debut 'Ten' album and thinking, 'Wow, this is a big change in what is happening musically.'"Kaczorowski says that after life took them in different directions, they decided it was time to get back together and play music. The Ten Band performs classic "Ten" hits like "Even Flow," "Jeremy" and "Alive," and almost play the way Pearl Jam would perform it live. Audiences are of course thrilled by "Better Man" and "Given to Fly."A common end to a show is "Yellow Ledbetter" from their album, "Lost Dogs," which Pearl Jam fans know is a live show essential. The Ten Band's energetic performance and enthusiasm resonates with the audience in an unforgettable way.
