ALLENTOWN (AP) - A police officer in Allentown has been shot while serving a search warrant.

An Allentown city official says the officer was shot in the arm Tuesday night. He's expected to recover. His name was not immediately released.

It's unclear what led to the shooting.

There's no word on any arrests.

The shooting happened two blocks from where the body of an unidentified woman was found stuffed inside a large blue recycling container on Sunday.
