Gentile pinned all four of his opponents last week. The only match that went beyond the first period was Saturday's final against Abington Heights' Noah Sarianni. Gentile pinned his counterpart in 5:15 to win the title. Kemmerer had only one match last week, but the sophomore made it count, defeating Pine Grove's Tyrese Armstead by technical fall. Anderson went 1-1 at the Colonial League team tournament, getting a forfeit win against Northern Lehigh before losing by fall to Saucon Valley's Nick Rosengrant, who was ranked 13th at 106 pounds last week in Off the Mat's Class AA state rankings.113 - 1. (14-11).Notes - Peters went 1-1 at the Colonial League team tournament, earning his second win in as many weeks over Fronheiser, this time a 2-1 decision before falling to Saucon Valley's Paul Miller 8-2 in the final. Newhall took third at the Coal Cracker tournament. The sophomore split his matches with Rusnak, dropping an 8-4 decision in the first round before bouncing back to pin the freshman in their third place bout. Pagotto won by forfeit in Lehighton's match against Pine Grove.120 - 1. Colton Rex, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (24-8), 2. Baily Wehr, Northwestern, Jr. (21-11), 3. James Gehr, Pleasant Valley, So. (13-11).Notes - Rex picked up his second straight win over Wehr at the Colonial League tournament, this time earning a 12-3 major decision over his counterpart. Wehr lost a 13-5 major decision to Saucon Valley's Jack Hill, who was ranked sixth at 126 pounds in last week's Off the Mat poll, in the final. Gehr returns to the rankings after posting a 4-1 mark last week, with all four of his victories coming by fall.126 - 1. Quentin Bernhard, Northwestern, Sr. (25-7), 2. Darren Goida, Panther Valley, Sr. (22-9), 3. Tanner McHugh, Tamaqua, Jr. (22-5).Honorable Mention - Zachary Kemmerer, Lehighton, Sr. (21-7), Ezra Neff, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (15-9).Notes - Bernhard pinned Neff, his second win in as many weeks over the junior, to capture his 100th career victory in the Colonial League semifinals. The senior dropped a tough 3-2 decision to Saucon Valley's Jonah Zyck in the finals. Though Goida didn't leave Saturday's Coal Cracker tournament with a gold medal, the talented senior did capture his 100th career victory with a 16 second fall over Catasauqua's Oscar Cordon. Goida went 4-1, getting pins in all four of his victories, en route to a third place finish. McHugh pinned Panther Valley's Colby Newton in 1:11 in his only bout last week. Kemmerer showed great form last week against Pine Grove, pinning James Gately in 1:02.132 - 1. Jarret White, Northwestern, Sr. (21-6), 2. Jason Jacobi, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (25-4), 3. Tanner Kennedy, Panther Valley, So. (23-9).Honorable Mention - Lucas Christman, Palmerton, Fr. (21-5).Notes - White rolled through his two bouts last week at the Colonial League team tournament, defeating Northern Lehigh's Chase Ohlsen by technical fall in the semis before pinning Saucon Valley's Justin Kyra in 3:20 in the finals. Jacobi continued his tear, going 5-0 last week, with four of his wins coming by fall. Kennedy posted a 5-0 mark last week, which included an impressive run to the 132-pound title at the Coal Cracker tournament. Three of the sophomore's wins came by fall.138 - 1. Damian Fink, Palmerton, Sr. (14-7).Notes - Kennedy went 5-1 last week, 4-1 at the Coal Cracker tournament, where he took third. The sophomore's only loss was by a 7-0 decision to Hazleton's James Hoffman, the eventual champion at 138 pounds, in the semifinals. Webster was pinned by Northern Lehigh's Matt Schmall in the semifinal of the Colonial League tournament. But the junior bounced back and pinned Saucon Valley's Angelo Mahaffey in the finals.145 - 1. Matt Schmall, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (21-4), 2. Tegan Durishin, Lehighton, Sr. (25-5), 3. David VanBlargan, Northwestern, Sr. (18-8).Honorable Mention - Cody Semmel, Lehighton, Sr. (3-2), Gavin McCabe, Pleasant Valley, So. (5-5).Notes - Schmall dropped down to 138 pounds and pinned Northwestern's Dalton Webster in the semifinals of the Colonial League tournament in what was the senior's only match of the week. Durishin won by forfeit in Lehighton's match against Pine Grove. VanBlargan wrestled both of his matches at last week's Colonial League tournament at 160 pounds and went 1-1. The senior earned a 10-3 decision over Northern Lehigh's Brandon Belfonti in the semis before dropping a 12-5 decision to Saucon Valley's Dylan Yonney, ranked 12th at 160 pound by Off the Mat, in the finals. McCabe lost both of his matches last week against Pocono Mountain East and William Allen, and Semmel did not wrestle.152 - 1. Ali Capobianco, Panther Valley, Sr. (27-6), 2. Bernhard Jackson, Northwestern, So. (20-9), 3. Cody Scherer, Lehighton, So. (16-14).Honorable Mention - Cameron Condly, Jim Thorpe, Jr. (16-11), Brandon Belfonti, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (15-9).Notes - Capobianco proved he could win in a variety of ways at the Coal Cracker tournament en route to the 152-pound title. The senior opened with a technical fall and pin in his first two matches. Capobianco finished the job by getting a 10-9 decision over Hazleton's Shane Noonan in the semis before claiming a 17-11 decision over Bloomsburg's Mitch Millbrand in the finals. Jackson went 1-1 at the Colonial League tournament at 145 pounds, pinning Northern Lehigh's Damion Rodriguez before losing a 6-4 decision to Saucon Valley's Jason Jones in the finals. Scherer pinned Pine Grove's Jesse LeVan in 1:48 in his only bout last week. Condly bumped up to 160 pounds for the Coal Cracker tournament and took fifth. Belfonti also bumped up to 160 pounds for the Colonial League tournament and dropped a 10-3 decision to Northwestern's David VanBlargan.160 - 1. Ryan Farber, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (22-1), 2. Caleb Clymer, Northwestern, So. (7-0), 3. Garrett Gouger, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (19-10).Honorable Mention - Dylan Schock, Jr. (18-12). Kyle Kralik, Palmerton, So. (13-9), Xander Kern, Panther Valley, So. (16-15), Jarrin Geisinger, Jim Thorpe, Fr. (10-10).Notes - Farber went up to 170 pounds for the Colonial League tournament and pinned Northwestern's Jason Hottinger for the second consecutive week. Another potential matchup of Farber and Clymer didn't materialize as Clymer dropped down to 152 for the Colonial League tourney. But the sophomore certainly didn't show any ill-effects of the cut, pinning Northern Lehigh's Tyler Smith in the semis before winning a 3-0 decision over Saucon Valley's Nate Harka, who was ranked 12th, one spot ahead of Clymer, in last week's Off the Mat state rankings. Gouger went 3-2 last week, including posting a 2-1 mark at 152 pounds. Schock pinned Pine Grove's Gavin Miller in 1:21 in his only bout a week ago. Kern posted a 2-2 mark at the Coal Cracker tournament, where he took fourth. Geisinger dropped down to 152 pounds for the Coal Cracker tournament, where he took sixth.170 - 1. CJ Young, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (21-3), 2. Trevor Dorn, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (20-7), 3. Riad Kapur, Palmerton, Jr. (12-7).Honorable Mention - Eddie Parrish, Northwestern, Sr. (9-8), Robbie Geisinger, Jim Thorpe, Sr. (17-8), Tyler Cann, Lehighton, Sr. (13-6).Notes - Young bumped up to 182 pounds at the Colonial League tournament, where he pinned Northwestern's Sam Day in 1:04. Dorn posted a solid 4-1 mark last week, where he wrestled twice at 170 and 182 pounds and once at 195. Dorn's only loss came in his final match of the week at 182 to Dieruff's Jayden Reyes, a 2-1 ultimate tiebreaker setback. Reyes also captured his 100th career win Saturday at the Coal Cracker tournament against Panther Valley's Dylan Moyer in the 182-pound final. Geisinger went 1-2 at the Coal Cracker tournament, taking seventh. Parrish did not wrestle at the Colonial League tournament.182 - 1. Jared Mooney, Palmerton, Jr. (24-2), 2. Dylan Moyer, Panther Valley, Sr. (20-9), 3. Andrew Sorensen, Sr. (15-12).Notes - Moyer went 3-1 at the Coal Cracker tournament, taking second at 182 pounds. The senior lost a 9-3 decision to Dieruff's Jayden Reyes in the finals as Reyes secured his 100th win in the process. Sorensen went 2-0 at the Colonial League tournament, pinning Northern Lehigh's Cameron Deibert in 22 seconds in the semis before earning a 3-2 decision over Saucon Valley's Jarrett Hirschbeck in the finals.195 - 1. Connor Frey, Lehighton, Sr. (26-1), 2. Shane McDermott, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (11-8), 3. John Iles, Palmerton, Jr. (4-4).Notes - Frey pinned Pine Grove's Carson Rittenbaugh in 3:20 in his only bout a week ago. McFermott pinned William Allen's Ervin Barron Stackhouse in 2:54 in his only bout last week.220 - 1. Trent Thomas, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (25-3), 2. Wyatt Clements, Lehighton, Sr. (17-3), 3. Jason Schaffer, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (15-9).Honorable Mention - Derek Koch, Palmerton, Sr. (5-2), Justice Batts, Jim Thorpe, Sr. (10-3), Justin Rodriguez, Panther Valley, So. (16-13).Notes - Thomas went 4-1 last week, losing only to Stroudsburg's Jake Jacobsen by a 13-4 major decision. Clements picked up a 17-4 major decision over Pine Grove's Zach Leffler in his only bout last week. Schaffer bounced back from a 5-1 loss to Northwestern's Jacob Murray two weeks ago with a 9-5 decision win over his counterpart at last week's Colonial League tournament. Batts made the most of his opportunity at the revamped Coal Cracker tournament, going 4-0 and claiming the title at 220 pounds. It wasn't easy, however, as Batts had to outlast Dieruff's Adam Roldan in an ultimate tiebreaker. Batts also picked up a 2-1 decision over Rodriguez, who went 2-2 and took fourth at the event.285 - 1. Cameron Kates, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (22-2), 2. Xander Smith, Lehighton, Sr. (16-7), 3. Jericho Burger, Palmerton, Sr. (16-9).Honorable Mention - Ryan O'Rourke, Jim Thorpe, Jr. (17-9), Jacob Murray, Northwestern, Sr. (12-9), Will Focht, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (7-6).Notes - Kates pinned Northwestern's Quin Moyer in 1:54 at last week's Colonial League tournament, the second time in as many weeks Kates pinned Moyer. Smith lost a 10-3 decision to Pine Grove's Emory Herb in his only bout last week. Smith lost a 6-1 decision to Herb at the Schuylkill League tournament earlier this year. O'Rourke posted a 3-1 record at the Coal Cracker tournament, taking third. The junior's only loss was to eventual champion Alex Nicholas of Salisbury by a 3-2 decision. Nicholas was ranked 15th last week by Off the Mat. Murray bounced back from a semifinal loss to Northern Lehigh's Jason Schaffer by pinning Saucon Valley's Trey Polak in 1:38 in the finals.
