The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch in effect from late Friday night through Sunday morning. It looks like the bulk of the storm will south of our region.
Heavy snow is expected, with accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible. Snow is expected to begin early Saturday morning and then taper off Saturday night. There is the potential that a period of heavier snow will occur.
Accuweather is predicting 6 to 12 inches for our area.
Snow may be dry and as winds increase some blowing and drifting snow may occur. Roads will become hazardous on Saturday.
Winds will be northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures will be in the lower 20s.
