Several people were injured Sunday afternoon in a violent crash along Route 309 in West Penn Township.

The crash occurred just after 4 p.m. as both vehicles were traveling north near the intersection with Route 443.

It appears the car may have rear ended the minivan sending it spinning along the roadway before it rolled down an embankment.
