Two people were injured in a crash at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday on Route 209 (Lake Run Road) in Blythe Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said Jeremiah R. Sanders, 27, of Andreas, sustained minor injuries and Hannah N. Gryzik, 22, of Lansford, suffered moderate injuries.The crash happened when Sanders, driving a 2002 Mercury southbound, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin into the oncoming lane and then strike a guardrail on the east berm.Police said Gryzik was operating a 2008 Toyota Yaris northbound and was not able to stop in time. The vehicle crashed into the rear of the Mercury.Police said Sanders will be cited for causing the crash.
