Momma C's offers cure for a sweet tooth

Anyone in need of a sugar fix is now able to satisfy their cravings in Tamaqua with the grand opening of Momma C's Bakery.

The Tamaqua location, at Tink's Antiques at 28 S. Railroad St., is actually an expansion of the popular bakery, which first opened at the Village Center Mini Mall on Route 309 in Snyders. The bakery offers the same delicious goodies as found at the Andreas location. Owner Cheryl "Momma C" Leone decided to expand her popular business after many of her customers bemoaned the lack of fresh baked goods in Tamaqua, having to travel to satisfy their sweet tooth. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Sunday and Monday.

Momma C's Bakery held a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony at its Tamaqua location just in time for Thanksgiving.
