Coming to Penn's Peak

Penn's Peak is filling up its entertainment schedule for 2016 as it announces three new upcoming shows.

The AvalonsOn Feb. 13, Penn's Peak will host Dancin' & Desserts with the Avalons. The event begins at 8 p.m.Complimentary desserts and coffee/tea will be available through the end of intermission.The Avalons have shared the stage with The Beach Boys, America, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Smothers Brothers, The Vogues, Tommy James & The Shondells and dozens of other legendary rock 'n' roll and country superstars.They have appeared in arts venues, corporate and industrial events, fundraisers for organizations and fairs and festivals across North America and the Caribbean. They have also entertained aboard cruise ships for Carnival, Regency, Commodore and American Hawaii Cruise Lines.The Avalons, formerly SH-Boom of Ohio, are experts at involving everyone in the show. Through music, comedy and crazy antics, the audience will be swept away on a memorable journey through the '50s, '60s and early '70s.The Nitty Gritty Dirt BandNitty Gritty Dirt Band will take the stage at Penn's Peak on May 20, beginning at 8 p.m.The iconic and profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, often cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in country rock and American roots music, continues to add to their legendary status.With multiplatinum and gold records, strings of top 10 hits such as "Fishin' in the Dark" and "Mr. Bojangles," multiple Grammy, IBMA, CMA Awards and nominations, the band's accolades continue to accumulate.Their groundbreaking "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" album has been inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress as well as the Grammy Hall of Fame.NGDB's recording of "Mr. Bojangles" was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2010.Happy Together Tour 2016The Happy Together Tour 2016 will be at Penn's Peak on June 23, at 8 p.m.This year's Happy Together Tour consists of Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron, Mark Lindsay, The Cowsills, Gary Puckett and The Spencer Davis Group.In the years since The Turtles, featuring Flo & Eddie, brought back some friends for the 25th Anniversary Tour in 2010, "Happy Together" has become one of the most successful summer tours in existence, constantly hitting the road and celebrating the music of the '60s for thousands of "Happy" fans to enjoy across North America.Fans will, once again, delight in hearing the songs sung by the original singers that they've heard on the radio for the past several decades.Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Penn's Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant and Bar.
