A shoplifting incident in Hometown on Dec. 3 resulted in the arrest of two men.
Rush Township Police were investigating a retail theft at 2:23 p.m. and put out an alert for a truck owned by a Tuscarora man, as well as a description of the thief.Tamaqua police were familiar with the truck, which was usually driven by the owner's son. The son also fit the description of the thief.After a short search, the suspect vehicle was found in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on Center Street in Tamaqua. The driver, identified as Jason Dahm of Tuscarora, was arrested by Rush Township Police.A passenger in the truck, Nethanial P. Shea, 33, of 349 Blue Mountain Drive, New Ringgold, had outstanding warrants for his arrest.He too was arrested, then transferred to the custody of Pennsylvania State Police.
