Brodheadsville Lioness honored for service to club

Brodheadsville's Lioness Nancy Beck has moved to Maryland, but not before her tremendous involvement in the Western Pocono Lioness Club was recognized by the club.

In honor of all of her service, including serving as vice president, the club honored her with a Liztech pin as a going-away gift.Beck's dedicated service to the club has made a marked difference in what has been accomplished in these past years. Fellow club members will be sorely missed.Beck completed the seating chart and place cards for the annual fashion show; helped staff the Lioness stand at Chestnuthill Community Day; did crafts at the Breakfast with Santa, as well as Letters to Santa; helped with the annual Patriotic Coloring contest; and always had good stories, neat activities or anecdotes to share at monthly meetings and club events.A luncheon was held in her honor at Cherry's in Kresgeville.Lioness Yvonne Pagano of Indian Mountain Lakes introduced Beck as "member, friend and volunteer for the club."Beck said to the group, "You've been there for me like sisters. Physically I'll be away, but you'll always will be in my heart."In a thank-you note to the club membership, Beck wrote, "The time I have been a member of this club has been priceless; your companionship and your friendship over the years has enriched my life beyond measure."
