West Penn township Chief of Police Brian Johnson has taken the operator of this tractor trailer into custody after he was involved in a road rage incident with a driver of a car along Route 309. Johnson reports the incident began in the south bound lanes of Route 309 near the intersection with Route 443. Somewhere along the route the front portion of the rig, operated by a driver from Trevorton, struck the rear of the car. Johnson was notified and gave chase pulling over the vehicle after it entered Lehigh county near Mountain road. Johnson transported the driver to the Miners Memorial Hospital for a blood draw. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Soley's Towing of New Ringgold.
