A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said James Charles Marlow Jr., 48, of Slatington, was stopped operating a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier for an equipment violation along Route 248 at the Palmerton exit, in Lower Towamensing Township at 7:02 p.m. on Nov. 25.Marlow was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken to the Palmerton hospital where he submitted to a blood test. Charges were filed.
