A Lehighton driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 26.

State police at Lehighton said Kathy Louise Romano, 53, of Lehighton, was parked in a traffic way along Church Road at Long Fence Road, in Towamensing Township, in a Cadillac Deville. During the investigation Romano was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was placed under arrest. Charges were filed.
