McDonald's donating money for computers

During the month of December, the McDonald's Restaurant in Nesquehoning will show local education some loving in support of the Chromebooks for Education project at Panther Valley Elementary School.

Owner/operator Scott Kavlick and his management team will donate $1 from the sale of every order of medium French friesto the school's Parent Teacher Organization. The money raised will be used to purchase new Chromebooks for the students. This applies to single purchase and extra value meal fries."In order for students to be competitive and succeed in today's world, they need access to technology," says Kavlick. "When the PTO approached us and asked for our assistance, we did not hesitate to offer our support in a delicious way. We are proud to support the community where we work and live, and encourage everyone to help us help the students by stopping by the restaurant and purchasing a medium fry."The initiative will run through Dec. 31 at the Nesquehoning McDonald's, 150 Market St.
