An Alabama driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Jamie N. Bates, 51, of Florence, was stopped at 6:27 p.m. on Saturday along Route 924 at Redners Plaza in Shenandoah. He was found to be under the influence and was taken for a blood test at a Pottsville hospital. He was then arraigned before on-call District Judge James Reiley of Pottsville.Bates was unable to post 10 percent of $5,000 bail and was remanded to the county prison in Pottsville.
