Wilson Miller is announcing he is a write-in candidate for the position of sheriff of Carbon County. He is currently an investigator for the Monroe County Public Defender's Office and is a former New York State trooper and a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran.
He has spent more than 33 years in the field of law enforcement, investigation and public service."My ultimate goal, other than becoming sheriff, is to bring about positive interaction between law enforcement and the minority communities in the Carbon and Monroe counties.""I would like to start by organizing and developing a police athletic league in the area. I feel that by my once again becoming a part of the law enforcement community (sheriff) it would enhance my ability to successfully reach my goals."Miller said his objective is to serve the public and community in the capacity of sheriff of Carbon County, to protect the public and to enforce the laws of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania with dignity, integrity, honor and impartiality and to support wholeheartedly the constitution of the United States of America.
