A Carbon County woman admitted in the county court on Thursday to assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

She entered a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Kathleen Ann Kattner, 45, of Palmerton, pleaded for an incident on Nov. 12, 2014, in the area of 901 Princeton Ave., in Palmerton.Police were dispatched to the area for a disturbance. On scene they found Kattner involved in the disturbance.When attempting to take her into custody she kicked officer Shawn Leadbetter. Police also had to use substantial force to place her in the police cruiser.Matika deferred sentencing.
