Leaf removal discussed in Kidder

Over the past several months, resident Vivian George has asked Kidder supervisors to consider some plan to address the leaves in the fall.

Aside from being difficult to remove, the leaves cause a problem for stormwater management, especially around Lake Harmony.Township manager Lisa Klem asked the supervisors to approve a purchase of a 35 HP mulcher, which the township will use to pick up leaves in storm drains and on township roads. The machine will cost $9,589 and should be delivered within a week. The township will set up dates and times when it will pick up the leaves. The mulcher will be paid for out of the stormwater management fund.- Judy Dolgos-Kramer
