Fog this morning, frost possible Sunday

Patchy frost is the forecast for Sunday morning as temperatures dip to 39 degrees. But first, we have some gusty winds and thunderstorms this afternoon.

The forecast:

Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog before 9am. High near 75. South wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 7 pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 48. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 6 to 9 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Calm wind.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 69.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Columbus Day: Sunny, with a high near 70.
