State police at Fern Ridge said a traffic stop made on Interstate 80 in East Side Borough, near the Carbon/Luzerne county line, resulted in a drug arrest at 3:03 a.m. Thursday.
Police said Jamikal Charles Flanders-Coates of Williamsport was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am that was stopped for speeding and an equipment violation when police observed indicators of criminal activity and obtained consent from the accused to search the vehicle.They found 4 ounces of suspected cocaine in the passenger seat map Flanders-Coates was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and other related offenses. He was committed to the Carbon County Prison in Nesquehoning.
