Free recyclingLansford will host a free electronics recycling day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lansford Pool parking lot.Items that can be recycled for free include: desktop/laptop computers, keyboards and mice, printers/fax machines/floor copiers, cables and cords, telephones/cellphones, calculators/adding machines, UPS battery backups/laptop batteries, toner and ink cartridges, audio visual equipment/plotters, filing cabinets, projectors, DVD players and VCRs, gaming systems, stereos and speakers, microwaves and small appliances, metal items, exercise equipment, car batteries (sealed lead acid)/car routers, bed frames and rain spouting, washers and dryers, stove ranges and dishwashers.Items that can be recycled for a fee are: televisions: $30 (tube type), TVs in wooden cabinet, projection or big screen: $50, CRT monitors: $10, LCD monitors, LCD and plasma TVs: $5, air conditioners: $20, dehumidifiers: $20, refrigerators: $20 and floor freezers: $20.For items that have a fee, cash or check will only be accepted. Make checks payable to Responsible Recycling Services or RRS.Televisions must be complete. Any broken televisions will not be accepted.
