A Summit Hill man has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence following an incident last month in Mahoning Township.
Township police say that at 2:47 p.m. July 9, police came upon a Jeep Cherokee parked on the roadway in a curved section of Mill Road.The driver, Benjamin Porambo, 33, said his vehicle had run out of gas. Benjamin was found under the influence. A blood test showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent.Benjamin has been charged with two counts of DUI, a misdemeanor; and careless driving, a summary offense.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9.
