Jim Thorpe Area High School will hold an orientation and luncheon for new students from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 20.

Students in grades nine-12 and their parents or guardians are invited to the event, which will be held in the high school commons.The orientation will be an opportunity to meet students who currently attend the school, have questions answered and take a tour of the school.A light lunch will be served.Students and parents or guardians planning to attend should contact the guidance office at 570-325-5137.An orientation for students currently in Jim Thorpe Area School District who are entering ninth grade will begin at 1 p.m.
