A Lehighton man has died in a bucket truck accident in Northampton Township, Bucks County.

Rodney Hunsicker Sr., 42, of Lehighton, was working for Rick's Tree Service, Ivyland, removing trees from a property in the Holland section of the township when the incident happened at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a report released by township police.The bucket truck was positioned on a side lawn of the property. A portion of the tree being cut was tied to the boom of the bucket truck. As it was being moved from the yard to the street, the weight of the tree and the position of the truck caused the vehicle to flip onto its side.Hunsicker was ejected from the bucket to the ground, where the bucket landed on top of him, the report said.Volunteers from the Northampton Township Fire Company performed CPR at the scene. The Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad took Hunsicker to St. Mary's Hospital, Langhorne, where he was pronounced dead.The incident is being investigated by township police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
