WASHINGTONVILLE (AP) - Authorities say state troopers had to use a rope to secure a combative 25-year-old man who was drunk as he drove a lawn tractor and carried a box of beer along a central Pennsylvania highway.
The Daily Item reports (http://bit.ly/1IjFMKs ) Tyler Anspach also threatened a trooper after he was apprehended on July 13 while driving his tractor to a friend's house in Limestone Township.
Police were called around 9:30 p.m. that night about an agitated man making threats and driving a lawn mower along the road. Court documents show that responding troopers could smell alcohol on Anspach and saw him stumble.
His blood-alcohol content was .21 percent. That's nearly triple the legal limit.
He's charged with DUI, disorderly conduct and related offenses.
Court documents don't list an attorney for him.
