Nesquehoning police are currently searching for the driver of a motorcycle following a high speed chase through the borough.

The incident happened just before 10 p.m.

According to scanner reports the chase, as it sped through the Hauto Valley Estates section, reached in excess of 100 mph.

The driver of the motorcycle eventually dumped the bike near Lake Hauto.

Nesquehoning and Rush Township police as well as Lake Hauto Fire Department are currently using thermal cameras to try and locate the person. A black Dodge pickup was also stopped because of a possible connection to the incident.
