Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Company has been awarded $237,620 from the Assistance to Firefighters grant given by the Department of Homeland Security.

The grant will be used in the purchase of a new tanker truck."Our firefighters serve with honor and dignity,providing our communities with the necessaryservices to enhance the safety of its residents and business owners," said U.S. Rep. Matthew Cartwright, who serves as a member of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus.
