New Enterprise is closing the ramp from the Mahoning Valley Toll Plaza to Route 209 northbound today.

All traffic will follow a posted detour to northbound Route 209 through the end of August.Construction crews will remove a section of the bridge abutment adjacent to the ramp. This requires the contractor to utilize heavy equipment to demolish the abutment and tri-axle dump trucks to haul the material away using the ramp.To accommodate increased traffic volumes the weekend of the Pocono 400 Race, the contractor will re-open the ramp to northbound Route 209 on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2. The ramp will then be closed and traffic detoured through Aug. 31.Message boards will remain activated to advise motorists of the closure and direct them to keep left for Route 209 northbound. Flaggers will be stationed on the ramps as needed to assist motorists during the work.
