Samuel Pugh, 28, of Palmerton, is facing drug-related charges as a result of a speeding arrest made by Pocono Mountain Regional Police at 6:19 p.m. April 6 at the intersection of Route 940 and Long Pond Road in Tobyhanna Township.

Police said after he was stopped for speeding, police found suspected heroin and hydrocodone inside his vehicle.He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and taken to the Monroe County processing center.He will also be arrested for the suspected heroin having been found inside the vehicle, as well as possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was also issued the speeding citation.
