Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Anthony Williams, 28, of Blakeslee, on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance as a result of an incident at 2:20 p.m. June 25 at the Jubilee Restaurant, Pocono Pines.
Police said after being called to the business, they identified Williams as a suspect and made contact with him as he was walking along Route 940 in Mount Pocono. Police said he was currently wanted out of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.He was arrested on the warrant and found to be in possession of marijuana and heroin paraphernalia. Police said Williams confessed to stealing the kegs of beer.Police also reported a separate incident involving an Anthony Williams, 28, but listed him as having a Swiftwater address.Police said he was arrested for three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of an incident at 6:28 p.m. May 5 along Salamance Lane in Coolbaugh Township.Police said they were dispatched to investigate a report of an unconscious person hanging out of a vehicle. Upon arrival, police said they were able to determine Williams had used heroin and had passed out. Police recovered additional bags of suspected heroin.
