Firefighters from three counties battle a blaze which has destroyed a home along Railroad Drive in Packer Township this morning. The fire broke out shortly before 8 a.m. in the basement and went through to the roof. At one point flames were reported to be shooting through the roof.w

The American Red Cross is assisting a family  of four and providing services like lodging, food and clothing as needed.
