Tropical depression Bill to bring rain tonight, Sunday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening will give way to widespread heavy rain late tonight as the remnants of tropical depression Bill move through the region.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts upwards of 3 inches, may cause flooding along area streams and creeks.

Sunday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2pm, then showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2pm and 3pm. High near 85. Northeast wind around 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. West wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
