The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Historical Society will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The group is going to be having a picnic and cookout at the Nesquehoning Hose Company's pavilion, located at 953 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning.Everyone is invited.Topics for discussion will be the plans for the Aug. 15 and 16 Community Festival, which will be held in the hose company's pavilion and on the adjoining road.
