Testimony continued today in the trial for Anthony Darrel Heath, 26, who is accused of killing Angela Steigerwalt of Tamaqua.
Jurors today watched a series of Walmart surveillance video clips that shows Heath entering store at 5:14 a.m. Feb. 1. He shopped, putting a tote in his cart that prosecutors say he used for Steigerwalt's body.
He checked out at 5:44 a.m.
Carbon County deputy coroner Robert W. Miller Jr. testified today to examining the body at scene, attending the autopsy and talking to troopers before determining death due to ligature strangulation and manner homicide.
Trooper Nicholas De La Iglesia testified about going to Walmart and having loss prevention employee Keirrie Fichter verify Heath made purchases via surveillance tape and computer data.
Fichter also testified.
